Legendary fishing boats since 1957

The legend didn't write itself... Seafarer fibreglass boats have been produced in Australia since being founded by Doug Fry in 1957.  Lindsay Fry (Doug's son) grew up in the Seafarer factory, working on every part of the manufacturing process, then fishing and boating in his spare time.  It is this background that made him one of the most insightful boat designers and builders in Australia.

Lindsay sold the company in November 2007 to The Haines Group knowing that keeping Seafarer in the hands of an Australian family owned manufacturer would ensure all that his boats and all that made them great would continue.

Production has now moved to Wacol QLD where Seafarers are built alongside the production lines for Signature and Traveller.  The current 11 Model Range is the peak of the Seafarer evolution.

The latest generation of Seafarers back up the companys reputation for building boats that ‘don't break’, are ‘hard to wear out’ and ‘hold resale value’.
